Rain gardens, drainage, and streetscape improvements bringing stormwater management and pedestrian connections together along downtown Wabash Street.

Renew Wabash Street with improvements that manage roadway runoff and strengthen the pedestrian experience within its historic downtown setting.
H&A integrated rain gardens and drainage improvements with sidewalks, crossings, landscaping, and streetscape features. The rain gardens were designed to capture and filter street runoff while bringing planted space into the corridor.
The firm supported the project through design, bidding, and construction, coordinating the engineering with the needs of an established urban street.
Constructed in 2015–2016, the project brought green infrastructure and streetscape improvements to Wabash Street between U.S. 12 and 11th Street.
