VCA — Doorway Lintel Design

The project need
Provide structural support for a building opening as part of the VCA project in Kalamazoo.
H&A’s response
H&A coordinated the opening dimensions with the architectural team and prepared structural lintel details. The design was revised to accommodate a permanent opening, with final details issued in February 2025.
Follow-up engineering coordination addressed questions about temporary lintel sizing during the work.
Project context and status
The assignment focused on the doorway opening and its structural support, with design and follow-up coordination during 2024–2025.
