Mullins Residence — Structural & Foundation Design
Structural and foundation design for a residential remodeling project, coordinated with additions, existing walls, and site drainage.
The project need
Plan structural and foundation improvements for an existing residence while coordinating the remodeling work with the site’s drainage needs.
H&A’s response
H&A investigated existing conditions and developed details for foundation and retaining walls, an entryway foundation, a second-floor support beam, and a three-season addition.
The work included evaluation of options for an existing foundation wall and coordination of topographic surveying and drainage design. Plans were developed in consultation with the owner’s project team.
Project context and status
The design progressed through owner and contractor review, with final plans issued in 2018.
