GIS TECHNICIAN

Requirements:

    • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or closely related field
    • Background in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, or closely related field is preferred
    • 2 years technical experience in one or more of the following areas: water resources, grading and drainage, site development, municipal infrastructure and public works projects
    • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
    • References required
    • Must be legally able to work in the United States

SENIOR WATER RESOURCES / SANITARY ENGINEER

Requirements:

    • Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering
    • Professional Engineer registration in Indiana or the ability to attain registration within three months
    • 10 or more years of experience in design, permitting, construction document preparation and management of multi-disciplined staff on water treatment and distribution system projects, wastewater collection and treatment system projects, and stormwater collection and treatment system projects
    • Strong technical skills and ability to manage multiple clients and projects
    • Strong background in water resources and wastewater systems
    • Specific career focus on projects involving hydraulics and water/wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations, wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment, as well as water distribution, storage and treatment
    • Experience with combined sewer systems, sewer separation projects and treatment plant projects
    • Familiarity with USEPA and Indiana Department of Environmental Management guidelines and regulations
    • Demonstrated experience monitoring budgets and schedules
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to lead multi-discipline team members, including other engineering professionals
    • Must be an exceptional communicator (verbally and written)
    • A proven track record in project management, including preliminary engineering, design engineering, bidding services, oversight of construction inspection and construction contract administration
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
    • Will be responsible for managing projects
    • References required
    • Must be legally able to work in the United States

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER

Job Description:

Coordinate and perform Civil/Structural design and other professional services which may include, but are not limited to the following: public works infrastructure, buildings, land development; earthwork, grading, sub-divisions, drainage, traffic, road, bridge, potable water treatment, water supply, wastewater treatment and transport, and environmental matters; Determine what codes and regulations are applicable to the project; Determine what permits, licenses and authorizations will be required and how they are to be secured; Coordinate the preparation of design submittals including plans, calculations, quantities, and cost estimates; Perform independent reviews of all contract drawings and specifications for completeness, correctness, and coordination; Ensure that corrections and clarifications are made if required; Review and validate submittals/shop drawings and as-built documents used for construction and records; Evaluate and support timely resolution of technical conflicts during engineering and construction; Coordinate and support design, pre-construction and construction activities through meetings, communications, engineering reviews, etc. to best enable success of the project for all stakeholders; Mentor and delegate work to junior staff; Perform topographic surveys and review survey data; Fully understand the contract for the project and the client's objectives; Satisfy client's requirements; Prepare and negotiate client project contracts; Analyze the project scope, the client's RFP and the proposal; Prepare proposals and statements of qualifications; Set procedural guidelines to be used to accomplish the project goals; Be a point-of-contact for all incoming and outgoing project information; Ensure proper distribution of project information to all project team members and sub-consultants; Negotiate and prepare contract for the services of outside consultants when required; Manage the design budget; Develop schedules to meet client and firm time objectives; Notify the client of change in scope and prepare estimates for design fees; Keep the client and the Accounting Department informed on the status of the project; Attend project meetings; Establish documentation and efficiently distribute work tasks for the project; Schedule and chair design meetings with the client and department managers and appoint appropriate staff for the meetings; Consult with all appropriate public authorities and determine that their observations and inputs have been secured prior to commencing contract documents phase; Arrange for pre‐bid estimates; Prepare and review project contract documents; Attend public meetings and/or hearings, make presentations, public speaking; Ensure that all public authority approvals are obtained; Perform retrospective analysis of projects and document lessons learned; Manage subconsultants.

Requirements:

    •  Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
    • Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in the State of Indiana;
    • Valid Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or its equivalent;
    • 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering design and construction, including at least 3 years of experience in Project Management;
    • 5 years exp with International Building Code;
    • 5 years exp with Steel design manual;
    • 4 years exp with AutoCAD Civil 3D;
    • 4 years exp with Robot Structural Analysis or equivalent Structural Engineering Analysis and Design Suite;
    • 4 years exp with Indiana Residential Code;
    • 4 years exp with local/municipal ordinances;
    • 4 years exp with Dumpy Level and Data Collector;
    • 3 years exp with Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis program;
    • 3 years exp with Microsoft Office Suite;
    • 3 years exp with the 10 States Standard- Recommended Standards for Wastewater Facilities;
    • 3 years exp with Total Station;
    • 2 years exp with QGIS or ESRI Arc GIS;
    • 2 years exp in use of Survey equipment - Topcon GPS;
    • Capable of accessing rugged terrain on project sites before, during, and after construction for inspections of the project area and work. Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and personal automobile.
