New Durham Township Physical Education Facilities Improvements Project

The Metropolitan School District of New Durham Township Physical Education Facilities Project consisted of a new baseball field on a recently obtained 10-acre site adjacent to the existing running track.

Amenities include 30-foot backstops, concession/restroom/pressbox facilities, a concrete bleacher pad, 15-foot wide warning tracks, athletic turf infield and outfield, and masonry dugouts. The old baseball field is being converted to a new softball calcine clay/sand infield; a 15-foot warning track and a 200-foot outfield fence is being installed; the existing dugouts and athletic turf infield and outfield are being used; a new discus, shot put venue and long jump landing pit are being created; and an automatic irrigation system for the existing and future soccer fields is being installed.
